Halloween Rice Krispy Treats...
a fun and festive twist on an old favorite

Step 1: Combine 6 cups marshmallows and 6 tablspoons of butter in microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high in one minute increments, stirring after each minute, until smooth. Add 12 cups of crispy rice cereal and stir until well coated. Cool slightly.
Step 2: Add your favorite fall treats or try one of my favorite combinations:
  • Caramel Apple - Add 1 cup chopped dried apples and 1 cup chopped caramels
  • Fall Crunch - Use chocolate crispy rice cereal and add 1/3 cup chopped pecans, 1/3 cup chocolate chips and 1/3 cup chopped caramels. {yum! these are my favorite}
  • Candy Corn - Use 2 cups candy corn or any favorite halloween candy.

Step 3: Press into greased 9X13 pan, paying attention that the mix-in's get distributed evenly.

Step 4: Remove from pan and cut into 3 inch squares.
Step 5: Wrap them in cellophane bags and dress them up for Halloween with ribbon and spider rings.
Trick or Treat!

  2. I had to double the marshmallows & butter, but I think it's because I used minis. Thanks for the fun recipe!
